- Historic Old Mesilla, adjacent to Las Cruces is filled with Wild West history and is where Billy the Kid was tried and escaped. He was later shot in Lincoln, NM. Lots of fun local crafts and jewelry shops as well as a number of great restaurants. http://www.oldmesilla.org/
